When images change their status in a focused process of manifestation – the image converges with the object and subsequently becomes so objectified that it immediately reflects the object without the aid of a mirror – this is preceded by the desire for a synthesizing force to establish a new unity between interior and exterior, between non-material and material things.
By means of an optical system that concretizes all pictoriality, such things then appear as a Real Reflection – a composite that illustrates the alignment and fusion of image and object. Returned to the realm of factuality, the image once more contributes to the stability of what it was otherwise only able to reproduce in a reflexive manner.
In the light of evidence in this dubious liaison, what could still be categorically separated in front of and in the mirror can no longer be kept apart. Solid parts merge – the whole becomes a single entity.
